One of the reasons that so many builders and designers find us in the first place is the wide variety of flooring options we can provide to a gym space, and our expertise and knowing the difference. Clients (and designers!) appreciate the way that the flooring can match the themes of the space.
20 years back or so, everybody just threw in black or black specked Hard rubber, most of which spelled like a tire factory, and called it a day. It makes a dark space even darker, and doesn't really protect the joints at all.
We have so many more options with better biomechanics, that are easier on backs, knees, and ankles, that also have a lot of different looks and feels and specializations. Sound and vibration reduction is another advantage!
And because we have our own install partnership, we can do things that other companies wouldn't dream of. For example, with
Acampora Designs and
Soderholm Builders, we set up a gym room in Wellesley with
Bounce2 stacked flooring as a border, and then with
luxury Ebb & Flow stacked flooring in
the whole central area.
KVC builders also used
Ebb & Flow for this second story gym in Osterville. For our wall-to-wall situations,
Ecore is our biggest partner because they really pioneered stacked flooring and have the most choices and the best support.
Often, we have clients who are looking for an bounded area to be done, without walls, or they want to work without adhesive underneath, and often in that case, we turn to
PaviGym out of Spain. Purely virgin rubber, super high-quality, always in interlocking tiles, and can also be set up with beveled borders. They have a lot of vibrant color choices, and even have specially lit gym floors or flooring with cable transport built in.
Both Ecore and Pavigym have zero off gassing, and have met the highest criterion for safety and air quality.
We also do commercial level synthetic ice, we have special flooring built for locker rooms, we do it indoor climbing walls, so we really are the builders and designers best friend for the gym because we take it all to the next level.
As always, I am here to
