Gym Design Should be Personalized...

The last few studies I looked at, close to 60% of people do some or all of their working out at home.  So it makes sense that most homes are being built and designed with a fitness area in mind.   We design spaces for facilities as well, lots of them, but we've see a big increase on the residential side.

So, we get a lot of people and builders who come to us, and come back to us, for Fitness Room Design. Which makes sense, because just like a wine cellar, or media room, a fitness room is a very specialized place that can easily be poorly designed. As a matter of fact, most are cramped, or unsafe, and often very generic.  And that's before we even get into the equipment.

We are proud to have a network of over 700 design and builder partners who turn to us when they want to create a truly special and personalized workout space. Our expertise goes beyond simply selling old, hard, rubber flooring. We offer better stacked flooring options and ensure that the proper electrical and space requirements are met.
Additionally, we take the time to understand the unique workout preferences of each individual user, and match it with equipment from over 35 different brands. This comprehensive approach sets us apart from national department stores or online retailers and allows us to deliver the same level of personalized experience whether it's in someone's home or a facility.

Sometimes we're trying to fit in a full workout in Beacon Hill or Comm Ave, in an old basement area. Sometimes we're doing a full gym in the whole basement on the Cape. We've designed spaces in Bellevue Avenue in Newport, and of course we've done lots of professional training studios, corporate sites and multi-family complexes.  We recently but new flooring into the Quin House gym.

Understanding how Connected Fitness really fits in it's important. Knowing which brands give good support is also important for long-term clients, especially since we are a rare bird that also does the service for what we install.

In terms of trends, Lately we've had a lot of clients working with more Earth tones and high-end wooden products. Olympic lifting has made a roaring comeback, and recovery spaces are becoming popular as well.

But at the end of the day the reason why all these builders and designers work with us is that we can create the same personalized experience in a homeowner's fitness space that they expect from their builder or designer in the rest of the space.  We've installed synthetic ice in basements in Brookline, put Pent Luxury dumbbells in penthouses, and delivered top of the line commercial Eleiko Freeweight Rigs on Nantucket.  And whether it is a garage gym or the Cape House, we'd love to be your partner in designing your fitness space, and in growing it for the future.
