iFiT is Still Leading the Way

Long before there was Peleton, Hydrow and these other connected companies, there was iFiT. It was a workout tracker and content system long before others were out and pioneered the connected, content-delivered space. iFit began integrating technology that could wirelessly sync smart tablets with interactive maps and equipment in 2007. It was originally designed by ICON Health and Fitness Inc. which is a company that owns NordicTrack, ProForm and Freemotion.

iFit is a tried, true, practiced and constantly improved content system that now includes classes, Google Earth – it’s amazing. It’s a robust, industry-leading content system with over a decade’s worth of content. And it’s still growing. iFit added more than 77,000 paid subscribers in the last quarter of 2019 and recently received a $200 million growth equity investment.

The vast majority of connected content is made for residential fitness, but iFit is now connecting with the commercial and club market. iFiT now works with Freemotion fitness machines– which is a completely commercial line of equipment. In fact, the new Coach bike for Freemotion is completely compatible with iFit. It’s connected content-driven AND super high-quality equipment working together. If you want to see the new Coach bike, let me know, we’ll have it in the showroom September 2020.
