MonkeyPox, now? Will it Ever be Safe to go Back to the Gym?

"Monkeypox is a particularly hardy virus ... and it is known to be able to survive in linens, clothing and on environmental surfaces, particularly in dark and cool conditions, for up to two weeks or even longer," Bolan added. "So, it's very important, I think, to pay attention to environmental surfaces like gym surfaces and, you know, workout benches and mats — things that are completely porous ... or partly porous" and to use disinfecting wipes or other household cleaners, which are effective when used correctly"

I swear, it was rough enough in our industry when the CoronaVirus destroyed the Gym Industry.  And it feels like it will always be with us, like the flu.  But we have MonkeyPox also spreading, and so we need to really clean surfaces in our studios and gyms.

Yahoo had a really good article here about it.

We see New York State declared a state of emergency, and as much as we want things to go back to normal, we've already seen over 5000 cases in the US.
