The Lighting in the Gym Really Matters

Hey, LED lights have helped us create a whole new world of lighting for clients.

In commercial spaces, we've started to add in more colors and LEDs to warm-up rooms, or to change the feel of a spinning class. And LED smartlighting is really a great way to go. So many possibilities have been opened up with these LEDs.

First of all, Outdoor access to sunlight is still preferred as a possibility. Nothing is as motivating to a workout as the actual, everchanging light of the sun as it moves through the sky. Gyms often end up in the basement, but in terms of beautiful, energizing workouts, nothing beats old sol.

But night time does come, and we all know the majority of home gyms end up in the basement. The joke in the fitness industry is that we often live between the home theater and the wine cellar. And this is where those LEDs really 'shine'.

First of all, high quality LEDs can actually mimic the sunlight nearly perfectly. Ketra LEDs "dynamically shift throughout the day, providing the full range of sunlight—crisp and bright during the day, soft and warm at night. The inventive lights provide wellness benefits of Natural Light to indoor occupants, synchronizing their circadian rhythms to support better health and rest."

And in terms of creating energy, LEDs can allow a gym to go through the spectrum od colors to find the right energies, green for meditation, or to find other energy colors to pair with a spinning class workout or a heavy lifting workout.
