Echelon: a Stand Out Connected Fitness Brand

By Norm Morrison

A lot of people have asked me about Echelon Fitness connected equipment and especially the new Echelon EX7 bike. Echelon, in general, is one of the largest groupings of connected fitness products. They offer decades of experience in both residential and commercial quality equipment.

Now, the first thing I like about Echelon is they offer a large ecosystem of products. So you can get a smart workout bike, a treadmill, a rowing machine, and especially their popular, touch-screen 50 inch Reflect -- all with one subscription for a connected fitness experience. So instead of having to buy separate subscriptions for different things, one subscription covers all of your Echelon products and exclusive app content to join the Echelon community.

The second thing that makes Echelon a really, really good purchase is they have a longer service warranty when bought through a dealer. Echelon realized that it's better to work with dealers and they want their clients to work through them. So this brand will actually double the warranty when you purchase Echelon through a dealer.

Now, the third thing that makes a difference here, and this is very important, is that Echelon EX7  is a higher level product than the majority of connected products. In fact, the Ex7 is actually a commercial spinning bike. Why would you want to buy a residential quality indoor cycling bike, when you're used to spinning on a commercial bike in your cycling classes at the gym? Frankly, if you look at Consumer Affairs, a lot of these connected, residential quality bikes get very bad performance reviews. By the way, you should always look at Consumer Affairs before you buy any fitness products. A big marketing budget can convince a lot of people to purchase a poorly-reviewed product - just look up Peloton Bike in Consumer Affairs.

The Echelon EX7 is actually warrantied to go into police stations, fire stations, condo complexes, personal training studios and office gyms. It's much heavier duty than your normal residential quality bike that you see everybody else selling online. So if you're used to that kind of commercial quality cycling experience, and if you're used to the feel of a real commercial bike in studio fitness classes, the Echelon EX7 is something you should definitely check out.
